Day 19 - Sphere

This highly polished sphere was fabricated in four months from 10 gauge type 304 stainless steel. The sphere is 3.65 metres in diameter, weighs approximately one tonne and is mounted in a 7.9 metre diameter pool.

Day 18 - What am I?

A set of three "Chain Rings". These rings hold the chain in place and help while you crank and propel a bicycle when you ride it. This one, in particular, is for my twenty-one speed mountain bike. As you can see, She's in pretty rough shape after I took her out for a fairly harsh run the other day! See the busted and warn out teeth?

Shot in the dark, I used a red laser pointer on the glass ball that the Dragon holds and this is the effect I got. Not exactly what I hoped for but it is what it is.

These gears are cranked manually by hand to raise and lower wooden planks, which allow waterflow through the dam. This one was built sometime in the 1960's

Day 9 - Totem Pole
This colourful wood carving stands tall in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It towers the trees behind it.(see pic below) It was presented by the Boy Scouts of British Coulumbia and Yukon, carved by Chief Mungo Martin of "The Kwakiutl Indian Tribe" in 1960.
